The RRTC-EBP-VR will be presenting at the NRA Training Conference in Brooklyn, NY on August 18-20, 2013:

Knowledge to Action: Using Evidence-Based Practice in Vocational Rehabilitation This session will provide an introduction to the use of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) as an integral part of the vocational rehabilitation planning process.  We will share the “research to practice” process and discuss how research-based knowledge can be put into action in the field.  Join us for an interactive session and learn valuable strategies and techniques for identifying and using evidence-based practice.

Communities of Practice: Bridging the Barriers between Research and Practice A Community of Practice (CoP) represents a group of individuals who share a common set of challenges and a desire to collaboratively find solutions. This poster presentation will introduce the concept of CoP and ways in which busy VR professionals can use CoPs to learn of evidence-based practices (EBP) and work collaboratively with researchers and practitioners, families and support systems, and consumers themselves to implement solutions to identified problems.
